Infrared Components for the Industrial Heating and Process Heating Markets

Anderson Thermal Devices (ATD) Infrared quartz tube lamps are used in many industrial manufacturing processes, such as PET manufacture, curing of coatings, forming of plastics, annealing, plastic welding, ink drying, and powder coating and paint drying In these applications, infrared heat sources are far more efficient than convection ovens or contact heating.

Efficiency is achieved by matching the wavelength of the infrared heater to the absorption characteristics of the substrate. IR heat sources are broadly categorized Short, Medium or Long wave. Additionally, ATD lamps have a range of finishes to suit their application. These include:

Clear The standard IR lamp; a bare, uncoated lamp that optimizes infrared output. They emit warm white light.

Jacketed A quartz sleeve is applied to the lamp for additional safety. They are ideal for use in food heating applications purposes.

Reflector These lamps have a white ceramic coating allowing the majority of the heat to be projected forward.

Ruby A ruby jacket is applied to the lamp which cuts down glare. They are ideal for comfort heating, such as outdoor terraces and eating areas.

Satin These lamps have a frosted finish, reducing glare.

Shaped ATD quartz tube IR heaters can be shaped to match the requirements of the production process so heat is targeted exactly where it is needed.

Twin Tube
ATD also has a range of Long wave infrared ceramic heating elements. With a less intense heat than short wave infrared, they can be used where low level or space-restricted instant heat may be required or where heat is required without light.
