IR ThermaL Flotation DryerS
Flotation dryers direct heated air at the product from both sides, producing more effective heat transfer rates per running length of dryer. They are used where the web can be coated on one or both sides and for delicate webs that can’t be mechanically supported or touched including filter media and coated film. Features:
- Non-contact web support eliminates issues with marking or scratching and eliminates the need for support rolls or a conveyor system.
- Accurate and uniform control of dryer temperatures and velocity, and ease of multi-zone operation.
- For most applications, the two- sided nozzle support w/ balanced air flow provides safe support of web while limiting the chance of marking, flutter and edge curl
- High energy input into the product helps maintain a high evaproation rate and lower the overall system footprint
