HEAT TUBES

A quality product for machinery and equipment builders needing Infrared sources for drying, baking , preheating and warming. Heat Tubes are made of quartz or high temperature Vycor® (96% pure silica glass). Both materials can operate continuously up to 1470°F with excellent resistance to severe chemical attack and thermal shock.

Features:

  • Sizes available: 3/8 O.D. up to 38″ heated length
  • 1/2 O.D. up to 50″ heated length
  • 5/8 O.D. up to 54″ heated length
  • Heat Tubes can be either clear, translucent or ruby red
  • Voltage: Up to 480 volts
  • Wattage: Up to 50 watts per linear inch
  • Element operates at 1500°F or lower temperature with controls
  • Three styles of ceramic end caps are available

Built in Thermocouples are available to indicate temperature of radiating heater face and acts as a control point for maintaining constant face temperature. Thermocouple kits for field installation are available.

Complete Infrared Heaters with Therma-Tech™ heavy-duty aluminum cases are available:

  • 3 Heat Tubes can be either clear, translucent or ruby red
  • Cases are 6″ wide and 3″ deep
  • Length of case equals heated length plus 6.25 inches
